Considering Ashford are currently top of the Kent League we gave them a good run for their money, only losing 2-3 on the rinks and by a modest 17 shots overall.
We only took half a point from one drawn rink when we visited Ashford so this was a much improved performance, albeit having the advantage of home rink.

Kristina Williams, Sharon Funnell in her first KL game, Avril Moss and Ann Munro trailed 7-8 after 11 ends but took control after tea break winning three ends on the trot as they went on to win 15-12.

Dot Fuller, Jessie Thompson, Eve Strudwick and Brenda Bennett won by a similar score and a similar chain of events.   They trailed 7-9 after 12 ends but one brilliant end when they scored five shots to lead 12-9 changed the game.  The foursome went on to win four out of the remaining five ends.
