Friday morning’s Mason Trophy match for ladies over the age of 60 against The Angel ended with theTonbridge team successful by 35 shots 26.

The home rink of Diana Purssell, Joy-Ann Hemmings, Ann Welch and Brenda Bennett enjoyed a very tight game, just maintaining a slight advantage throughout in their 17-13 victory.  Unfortunately the away rink went 1-8 down after 5 ends and could make little headway on The Angel green, eventually going down 9-22.

Immediately the game on the Sevenoaks rink finished, an army of willing helpers entered the bowling arena with their hoovers, dusters, cleaning rags, etc. and did the most wonderful job.  Not only were the surrounds and ditches cleaned but also the lounge area, chairs brushed and numerous other places were wiped down.   In addition, Derrick Rodger and his mate, Dave, hoovered the bowling green.
