SEVENOAKS 41 THE ANGEL 32. (Double rink for ladies over 60)

The home rink of Joan Moffatt, Joy-Ann Hemmings, Sue Wallis and Ann Munro excelled themselves against a strong Angel rink skipped by Jane Cogle.  They took control from the start opening up leads of 10-3, 17-8 and 25-9 after 5, 10 and 15 ends, finally winning 26-15.   

On the Angel green, Kristina Williams, Eve Strudwick, Anne Welch and Brenda Bennett started well, going 5-0 up but then lost 7 of the next 8 ends to trail 7-12.   However, the good news filtering through from Sevenoaks was a great boost and they finished well, only going down by two shots, 15-17.   

An all round excellent performance should give encouragement when the ladies face Bromley B in the second round.
