A very good performance on three of the five rinks gave us two wins and a narrow defeat although we were well adrift on shots.

Joyce Allen, Cynthia Gaston, Avril Moss and Anne Welch took a 5-4 lead after 8 ends and never looked back, going on to win in fine style 15-10.

The victory for Val Stevens, Sharon Funnell, Eve Strudwick and Ann Munro was more exciting,   They trailed  5-10 after 10 ends but, once again, it seemed the half way cup of tea worked its magic.  The Sevenoaks ladies then won 7 of the next 8 ends for a well earned 15-11 victory.

Angela Checksfield, Diana Purssell, Lynn Thomson and Joan Moffat made a slow start going 3-11 down after 10 ends but a second half rally saw much improved bowls as they narrowed the gap to 12-14 going into the final end.  Unfortunately the opposition scored another two shots.
