Three victories enabled Sevenoaks to hold The Royals to a 6-6 draw on Tunbridge Wells rink.

Rosemary Tuck’s team scraped home 13-12 having trailed 9-10 at the halfway stage.

Joyce Allen, Angela Checksfield, Joy-Ann Hemmigs and Ann Munro dropped 6 shots on the 11th end.  Finding themselves 7-14 in arrears, they set about their efforts to recover with a vengeance winning 6 of the last 7 ends and amassing sufficient shots for a very well-earned 19-17 victory.

Best win of the match came from Shirley Christian, Barbara Taylor, Mel Bridges and Ann Welch.  They too recovered from a losing position, 8-10 at 13 ends, winning 4 of the last 5 ends, which included a count of 6 on the 15th end thus gaining two very valuable points for their 19-14 success towards the overall match draw.

Heavy defeats from rinks skipped by Sue Wallis and Brenda Bennett did little to help the overall shots score.
