Captain of the Day, Ann Munro, had her problems with this match.   Two ladies dropped out a couple of days before the game but Ann managed to find replacements, then another lady fell by the wayside on the morning of the game meaning we had to travel one short.

Fifteen minutes before the match was due to start Sevenoaks were still two ladies missing.  They eventually arrived in the nick of time due to a serious sat nav malfunction – let’s blame that – meaning they ended up on the M2 by mistake.  Oh dear, and the next exit was about 9 miles on.

We were comfortably in second place as far as the bowls was concerned.   However, best performance of the day came from Veronica Hunt, Val Stevens and Lynn Thomson, who had a missing player.  They actually won 15-13 against the Swale foursome but sadly had to forfeit 25% of their score for being a player light.

Despite the heavy defeat, we had a tasty meal, pleasant company, won one raffle prize and all got home safely.
