Another heavy defeat for the ladies but we remain cheerful, are fulfilling our fixtures and trying our best.   Also it’s good to see our more recent members gaining experience in these matches with Mave Helden playing her first Kent League game.

We almost won on one of the five rinks.   Dianne Wills, Angela Checksfield, Rosemary Tuck and Brenda Bennett trailed 7-11 before a perfect forehand from Rosemary gently moved the jack back to waiting Sevenoaks bowls which resulted in a count of 5 shots and a move into the lead after 12 ends.   Sevenoaks kept the initiative, going into the 18th and final end 15-14 only to drop 3 shots and see defeat snatched from the jaws of victory!

Ann Munro’s rink was doing very well up to the 16th end, only 12-13 in arrears then disaster struck.  Ten shots dropped on the last two ends spoiled their day.
