Joint Captains of the Day, Sue Wallis and Marian Greenouff, along with Jenny Barnes and Joy-Ann Hemmings, combined for a well-deserved 20-15 victory over the Ashford Captain and her team.   On the fast swinging green it took the Sevenoaks ladies a while to cope, but from 4-6 in arrears after 7 ends, they all suddenly clicked, notching up 11 shots on the next 5 ends to take a 15-6 lead which they did not relinquish.

Cynthia Gaston, Joyce Allen, Mel Bridges and Joan Moffat made a good start, taking an 8-4 lead after 9 ends.   Perhaps the mid-game cup or tea spurred on the Ashford ladies as they took the next four ends to lead 12-8 before a count of 2 and 5 shots put Sevenoaks back in contention and ahead 15-12.   The next two ends were keenly fought but favoured Ashford who went into the final end with a single shot lead.   In a nail-biting finish, Sevenoaks managed to hang on to a single shot for hard-earned 16-16 draw.
